Piano Studio
Owin Abeysinghe and Reid Pfaltzgraff-Carlson are the “students of the month” for March 2019 at Dr. Rua’s Piano Studio.
Owin is 8 year old and he is a 2nd-grader in Indian Hill Primary School. He has two brother who also play the piano. He likes reading and robotics.
Reid is 15 years old and he is in 9th grade at Schilling School. He really enjoys playing rag-time, blues and jazz-sounding pieces.
OhioMTA-Sothwest’s Auditions Festival was held March 24, 2019, at CCM, Cincinnati.
Nine of Dr. Rua’s students participated, and here are the results:
Gold Medal (For students with a score between 90-100): Owin Abeysinghe
Silver Medal (for students with a score between 80-89): Samantha Puthoff, Mihindu Wijesekera, and Miki Hansen (no photo).
Excellence Ribbon (for beginner students with a score between 85-100): Helios Arias, Willa Cooper, and Daphne Steele.
Merit Ribbon (for students with a score between 60-69): Julia DiBenedetto (no photo), and Maya Hansen (no photo).
NFMC Junior Festival was held last March 8-9, 2019 at Mt. St. Joseph University, Cincinnati.
The Following students achieve the highest score: Unanimous Superior.
